Employee Relations Manager

Reporting to the Head of People Services the Employee Relations Manager will lead the provision of professional, commercial, and business-focused ER advice through proactive partnering.

You will also be responsible for your own case management workload and also oversee the HR team in relation to case management. You will implement improvements identified and develop the capability in the HR team to manage disciplinaries, grievances and performance issues.

Key Requirements for this HR Job:

✔️You will be accountable for the performance and development of the HR team in relation to ER and ensure the delivery of a highly efficient and effective
service to the business. 

✔️Case management including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence, and bullying & harassment complaints.

✔️Lead and support the team to regularly review and update any policy changes required from legislative updates. 

✔️Manage relationships with key internal customers and act as their trusted advisor in all ER and employment law queries.

✔️Support the HR team and stakeholders across the business in change management and through the transformation program.

✔️Analyse employee relations data, identify trends and recommend solutions to improve process, culture, and performance. 

✔️Identify opportunities for process improvement within the function in line with overall business objectives, as well as compliance processes.

Knowledge and Experience

✔️Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Irish employment legislation, its interpretation and implementation, and of employment practices specific to Ireland.

✔️A proven track record in employee relations and case management to WRC level.

✔️Skilled at using effective listening, probing and investigatory skills to handle complex, sensitive enquiries and conversations with discretion, composure and compassion.

✔️Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills

✔️Proven ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and HR colleagues.

✔️The ability to analyse complex situations and make recommendations.

✔️Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver on timelines as required. 

✔️Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including coaching skills.
